The process is very simple, it only takes time to marinate the meat. It is ideal to eat 4-6 people.

To prepare our delicious marinated pork tacos, we need the following ingredients:

  • 2 kilos of pork, minced thin but not too small.

  • 2 packages of corn tortillas, yellow.

  • 120 grams of achiote.

  • 1 1/2 cups of orange juice.

  • 7 bay leaves.

  • 1 tablespoon thyme.

  • 1 tablespoon of marjoram.

  • 1 tablespoon of oregano.

  • 1 tablespoon of ground cumin.

  • 6 peppers, fat.

  • 6 cloves.

  • 3 red chili peppers.

  • 2 pasilla chili peppers.

  • 4 arbol chili peppers.

  • 6 garlic.

  • Fresh coriander, finely chopped.

  • 10 lemons.

  • 125 grams of lard/butter.

  • Salt to taste.

  • 2 onions, finely chopped.

Marinated Pork Tacos Preparation Mode:

  • Blend all the ingredients, the achiote, orange juice, bay leaf, thyme, marjoram, oregano, cumin, pepper, cloves, salt, garlic and all the chilies very well.

  • In a large container with a lid, add the minced pork with the contents of the blender without straining (it should be a very fine paste) and marinate for 12 hours. in refrigeration.

  • After the meat has been marinated, we heat a pan with 3 tablespoons of butter and put the meat to brown until it is to your liking (well cooked or not cooked at all).

  • We heat the tortillas in a comal, you can soak them in a little butter and put them together so that they do not get cold and become hard.

  • We serve a teaspoon of the meat in two tortillas, put the cilantro and chopped onion on top and add lemon to taste.
